Power steering???

I have 1993 SHO MTX it is in alright shape but my power steering is wierd, each time i move it, the wheel jerks (not hard but noticable). What is the problem?

As far as I can tell, just pretty much normal aging for the SHO steering rack. Kind of like a gentle surging in the wheel in long sweeping corners? Others on the forum have attributed it to grit/stuff in the fluid. One guy recommended adding an inline filter to the PS lines after installing a new rack (not saying you need a new rack - I had just put one in when it was recommended). It won't help your rack now, but it might help the life once you have to replace it down the road (if you do)
