I just put my engine together after doing the timing belt, cps, front seal, and crank timing sproket (crank cancer). The car runs awesome now, but I am getting a whinning from the power steering belt. I am wondering if anybody knows if those things make noise if the belt is tightened too much. I think I over tightened it. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
Corey

It might be the belt tension. It might also be air in the PS system or PS pump bearings.

Needs more diagnostic work.

I over-tightened my belt and it cause the p/s pump to make a whining noise and then eventually the seal gave out and there went my p/s as I was doing 80 on the interstate. Be careful.
