ok, I forgot to mention this, but sometimes when I turn the wheel back and forth it "catches" if you know what I mean. Not really making the famous Ford P/S pump whine, but it's like it's sticking or binding. on my roomate'smom's van i could practally make a U turn with just one finger. LOL Any I dea what it could be, will I need a new pump soon? let me know guys.

If the suspension isn't causing it (worn out parts) - that is more of a rack issue than a pump issue. How many miles on your SHO? Original rack I assume.....that is where I would place my problem.

I'd lean towards Doug's assessment at this point.

You can try flushing the PS system and adding a protectant.

I'd suggest the Lubeguard Flush and Protection pack.

If it works, you've save at least $150 in parts an alignment fees assuming you do the replacement yourself (PITA). If not you're only out about $20.
