I installed a new pressure line on my 89 and it still leaked, it seemed to leak past the o-rings on the fitting. when I installed it the fittings were SAE size not metric, but the rest of the fitting seemed to be the same. I have removed it and returned it for a new one which should be in on Tues. Another question is that it may not be the fitting that is leaking it was very hard to tell where it was leaking from due to limited line of sight to the fitting, It seemed to leak from the fitting, but is there anywhere that it could leak from to make it apear to be the fitting. note, the old hose had not leaked this badly.

The pressure line runs from the pump to the rack.

BTW, which end was leaking? Same as now? or both, or what?

Did you use the teflon/plastic sealing rings, properly stretch them out, then tighten them to spec?

They're a real PITA to install....

sorry for the confusion. The pressure line is leaking at the pump, I did not know about the teflon sealing ring, it did not say anything about that in the book or the instructions, could you clarify what exactly I need to do to the ring and how much to tighten the fitting. and you mentioned rings there was only one on each fitting. it leaked worse with the new line, the old line leaked from the hose.

thanks
