Just posting to increase the information base of the forum.

I removed the power steering pressure hose and was looking for teflon seals so as to reuse the hose. None of the auto part stores around me had them or volunteered to look them up.

As a result of an internet search I saw that Gates had them listed in their catalog although they didn't specify the applications. An e-mail to Gates asking for the part number for a Taurus SHO power steering pressure hose came back with the following response:

"Your Power Steering End Fittings would require 1 each of Teflon Seal Part # 349550 which your Gates Dealer may have in stock or could order since these would come in a package of 25".

Good find. I had to go through the dealer, but I have 4-5 on the shelf since they are hard to come by. Nice to know there is another source.

I had to get mine from the dealer as well.
I found them easier to install, if you put the seals in a cup of water, and throw it in the microwave for a minute. This makes them plyable(sp).:thumb:
