I'm a total n00b when it comes to wiring, so I really have no idea if I can use the power antenna switch from a gen I in a gen II.

It doesn't sound like it would be hard, but do I just disconnect the antenna wire from the headunit and connect it to the switch? Or is there more to it?

Anybody have instructions? Thanks.

The antenna should have three wires going to it (not counting the actual coax). One is a ground, one is hot and one is the switched turn on wire. Get a switch and some twin lead wire and just run the turn on wire to the switch then back to the antenna motor.
