Well, I finally ended up doing what I made fun of others for doing for years....I drove through a car wash while jamming some Led Zeppelin and sure enough you know the rest. My question is if this is a difficult replacement and does the SHO share the same power antenna setup as the SLO? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! :nut:

All the power antenna's are the same between SHO and regular taurus. You shouldn't have any problem finding one. :)

They are pretty simple replacement.

Just make sure to get the mast only. Taking apart the motor to get the extra plastic out and rerunning the new mast isn't too hard either.

Thanks for the info everyone. Going to start looking for a replacement here in the next few days. I guess the one good thing is that now I haven't felt the need to subject myself to crazy political talk radio recently. I think my blood pressure is actually getting lower thanks to my antenna being broken

THere used to be a seller on ebay that offered these for a really good price. They come with the mast and plastic line that runs into the motor. I just opened the motor case and replaced everything. Been operating perfectly for years now. The plastic is attached to the mast and is necessarry to get the motor to lift and retract the antenna.
