Where can I get some aircraft stripper? Also Is there anybody on the forum that has a red SHO with black wheels?jthomas68:
Fwiw, the stock slicers are not powdercoated, they are painted. It comes right off easily with a can of Aircraft Stripper.
Wow...I could see where you'd get that impression from the pic, but you haven't seen the car in person. They are sharp! Actually considered doing this to a set of slicers if I ever get some spares. I may have some better pics of them, but trust me...they look nothing like steel. They're beautiful, especially with the contrast it adds to the car.Dave Ladely:
Why make aluminum wheels look like steel wheels?
If anything, I would think black anodizing with a clear protective coating would look best. At least it wouldn't look like painted steel! Ugh!
I am thinking of removing the paint and polishing the aluminum, then clear coat with Imron or equivalent.
Because your head doesn`t need to get any bigger, you know how much i want that damn thing.Hold on,aren`t you looking for a 91+ with the spoiler? winkSHODWN:
Jt thats a nice car behind you, but you never mention it.. Why?
