Possible Transmisson problem

OK, here the deal, I have a 93 ATX and when i am driving around 45-60 mph sometimes, only sometimes the car seems to ****. The feeling is hard to describe, almost feeling like its (a. Misfiring b.Tranny jerking c.Belt Slipping?)
It doesn't make any weird noises other than the pully rattle but it stops when accelerating. The feeling is really starting to scare me, but it is so hard to pinpoint. i know there was a thread somewhere around here about a C-Clip or some sort? Im really baffled here and worried. To sum it up. Weird feeling around 45-60 sometimes , jerking, feels like tranny wants to shift down or up to OD. Someone please help me

I'm pretty sure that's the speed your OD kicks in. Unless you're on the highway I would shut the OD off and I'm sure you won't have any more jerking. When I drive around the city I always shut mine off.

Without actually driving the car it's hard to say. The possible causes you list are the most likely culprits...is the car in good tune(no oil in plugwells ect...)? Trans fluid smell burnt? The torque converter shuddering/slipping could also cause a similar sensation around those speeds. I would see if it does it with the o/d turned off and if it does it around the same speeds.

yea it does do it around the same speeds, just not as stiff and hard as with the OD on
