possible to remove rev limiter?

just wandering. after some upgrades i would like higher rpms. anyone know how to do this?thanks. devin.

If this is for your 93 , not only did you post in the wrong section but your car doesn't have a rev limiter except in neutral in auto's .

IF you are asking about a gen 4 then the only way will be with a aftermarket tuner .

So WTF are you talking about ?

wow. and yes it does. it stops at 7300 in gear as well as in neutral. i wasnt trying to be criticized i was simply asking a question.

Well didn't know that about gen 2's so I'll give u that one .

Still wrong section :)

And without ALOT of mods your not going to make anymore power over 6800-7000 rpm without cams . So why ?

Again then you need a chip or tuner to remove the limiter .

ugh idk... im looking to sell the car anyway... im not really interested in it anymore.... gas mileage sucks. it beats turbo cars, thats about the only fun about it..

If your gas mileage sucks keep your damn foot out of it. Most maintained 5 speed SHO's achieve 30 MPG on the highway, Mid 20's in the city if you drive it conservatively enough.
