Possible to make engine TOO cold?

As I'm looking to tune my car, the options being considered encompass using a range colder spark plugs, 170* thermostat, and larger intercooler. Being that I live in the midwest and have winters that get downright brutal, will these changes harm the engine? Make it run too rich? Not be able to warm up properly?

Anyone else in cold weather areas done this stuff and have experience to comment on?

The 170 thermostat is only 10 degrees colder than the stock one.

Yeah, I get that. And that's why I'm going with the 170 over the 160. But I'm interested if everything together will make it too cold. I'm gathering all the items first, and will then be installing them at once with a tune. So I'm inquiring about the colder plugs, thermostat and intercooler all together in the winter time.

You will be fine. The intercooler gets preheat from the radiator unlike the trucks.

And for everyone else, at low loads the stock intercooler and Gearhead intercooler work exactly the same. When you put extra heat into the system with a tune or with tune and turbos, that's when the Gearhead intercooler shines.
