Hello everyone,

I am going to look at a 2010 SHO tomorrow at a local dealership. It's currently sitting at 57k on the odometer with a clean one owner carfax. Dealer is asking 13,899. Is that a pretty fair price for a 2010? Also, is there anything I should specifically be looking for? I did appreciate any help offered and look forward to possibly joining the SHO club!

Thanks! Looking them up now. You've got me worried. I see a lot of them. Are any of them covered by Ford? Or are these on you to fix. I'm not super mechanically inclined so I would need to pay a pretty penny to get all of those fixed

That low price worries me. Who are you buying it from? Has it been a salvaged or totaled vehicle. Carfax/AutoCheck should definitely clear that up. Take it to a trusted independent shop for evaluation. If all looks good, buy an extended warranty from an online Ford dealer. All recalls should be complete. Illegal to sell vehicles with outstanding recalls.

TSBs are not warranty items. If you have warranty coverage, TSBs will be covered. If not, it is OOP.

Nowadays everyone issues more tsbs, Recalls, etc than ever. Not a cause for concern.

Thanks for the reply. It's at a local Ford/Lincoln dealership. The dealer has outstanding reviews on its yelp/Facebook/and Google pages. It has an auto check on the website which shows it being a one owner with several oil changes. I don't see anything about recalls listed so I'll be sure to ask about that. Hopefully it all checks out because now you have me thinking this could be a good deal!

Well, you just may have found a gem, rootin 4 ya :)

Annual mileage is below average, hopefully it is not a cityonly car. Anyway, drive it normal and drive it hard. Have them take the engine appearance cover off to check for loose/cracked hoses, leaking oil etc.

Expect to service immediately after acquisition. Plugs, tires, ALL fluids, etc. The more you do right away, the longer it will be troublefree.

Thank you again! I shall keep you posted after taking her for a spin tomorrow.

Just went out and test drove the car. Needless to say I am absolutely in love! The car is spotless. The previous one owner worked for Ford and had everything taken care of maintenance wise. I unfortunately am not able to pick her up until Monday but I thought I'd give an update. Thanks for looking!

Lots to learn, and remaining diligent on it's maintenance is tantamount to enjoying her for years to come.

Plenty of go fast stuff, as well as aesthetics to make her more personable to you, yourself, and no one else.

Take it in stride, and she can become a beast like mine, and many other owners.

So I'm picking the car up tonight. Does anyone have any recommendations for the Ford extended warranty plan? I'm thinking about doing the 60,60k premium plan. I'm being quoted online for 1990$. That seems like a good deal. Does anyone have any reviews or recommendations for the Ford Plan? Thanks!

So far everything is going well with the car (knock on wood). My father in law did see there is a shield of some sort hanging off the car under the engine area. I'm guessing it's the engine water shield from reading online. I've got to go back to the dealer tomorrow because they called and said they forgot to give the car an oil change before I picked it up. So I'm going to have them fix it then.

There are twist clips that hold it up. You can probably eat I them without jacking the car. I would have the dealer inspect to make sure they or the water shield isn't broken while they are at it.
