Possible Coilovers???

Hey guys!

I know that coilovers specifically made for the gen 1 are impossible to find, but are there coilovers from other cars that would technically fit? Id be ok if its a little ratty, but without something stiffer, the stock stuff is like driving a boat.

I had been hoping over the years someone could adapt a set from another vehicle but nothing materialized. They did make small runs of coilovers for these cars a time or two but I don't see any floating around. Every blue moon one of those sets or a car with those installed pops up.

I had koni inserts (blown out) with eibach lowering springs. Sold the konis, put the springs in storage. Had an oem set of motorcraft struts and springs laying around. Cut off 1/2 a coil from each spring and threw em on. Other than the wheel to fender gap increase, no complaints... Even after months of vigorously trying to beat them up so i have an excuse to throw something new with my eibachs back on it.. Not boaty. Nice and tight.
