I'm not sure, so I'll post what's going on.

When driving down the road, between 45mph to around 60, the steering wheel vibrates, and the car shakes a bit.

When turning the wheel slightly to the left while moving, it feels really loose and also shakes even worse.

But at 65mph+, it goes away.

At low speeds, 15mph and below, everytime I hit a bumb, I can hear something either clunking or rattling on the drivers side.

So far, I've replaced the passenger side wheel hub bearing, both strut mount (front and rear) bushings, drivers side tie rod end, and the drivers side lower ball joint.

So, reading around here, and reading what an axle can do and feel like when it's going bad, does this sound like an axle?

sounds tire related to me. the come and go shaking is classic tire out of balance simptoms. i get snow packed inside my rims all the time and they will start shaking and go away at road speed. I would look into first before buying a new axle. axles generally have a clicking noise at low speed when they are starting to go out.

i would jack up one tire and check the inner tie rod as well ive had that cause shaking as well. good luck

Well, I know my drivers side tires are pretty well shot, and I'm sure that with all the cracking around on the parts that I have put in on the front end, a good alignment would probably do wonders.

I just wanted to get some other peoples opinions. Well, I guess Tire Shoppin' I go

I would replace your driver side wheel bearing/ hub assembly. When one goes bad, the other is usually not to far behind! My bet is that will clear up your problem..

My experience w/ bad front wheel bearings on the SHO is that it will grind the brake rotor on the caliper mounting bracket, produce a nasty noise, but not cause any of the shuddering symptoms that the OP described above.

Where did you find your wheel hub? I have a 89 Sho and having a hard time finding one. The passenger side is shredded. My number is (310) 634-2955 Any info on where to find parts would be greatlt appreciated. You name it I've replaced it except starter, master cylinder, and power steering pump. Everything else both mechanical and electrical has been replaced. Thanks in advance, Mike
