which end? By the starter.. its the one from your igniton.. by the battery.. I know some aftermarket cables have an extra "lead" you can attach things to. I used mine to power my fog light relay. Not sure if there are others off the top of my head.

Nothing unless some one has added the Police Package stuff.

Incorrect.

This lead off the positive battery terminal on the Gen 1 cars will prevent the car from running if not connected.

It powers something in either a PCM or CCRM circuit, I just never researched which/what, but I know every time I do a motor swap in a Gen 1 and forget to reconnect that little Christmas tree connector behind the passenger headlight that the car won't start.

That single cable should go to two separate fusible links. Link "J" is an 18 guage brown colored link that is soldered to a Black with Orange wire which in turn becomes 4 black w/orange wires. Those 4 end up at pins 1,2,10, and 12 of the CCRM.

Link "N" is a 20 guage link that feeds two yellow wires that re-combine into a splice that then branches off with one yellow wire going to Pin 1 of the ECM and the other yellow goes to pin 8 of the CCRM.

Both of these fusible links are hot at all times naturally.

Hope this helps.
