I did a search on this and I found an old thread about it. It didn't really give any info on whether this is worthwhile or not. I have an extra set of parts I was going to have painted. I might have this done if there are some gains to be had. :)

I just got done putting a new coil on the rear bank and I was thinking about doing some porting while I was in there. I was at least going to gasket match it. After looking at the size of the runner and how close the the gaskets already were, I decided against it. I asked my Uncle about it as he used to be an engine builder and he agreed that you would probably never be able to feel the difference. You may be able to see it in track times, but it would be very minimal on a stock motor. I would have to measure it, but the runners and intake ports look like be about the same size as any of the larger v8s.

I would like to see it on a dyno to really compare, but with a stock engine and concidering how well they are already matched, I wouldn't bother with it. I'd like to have measurements on the actual size of the runners compared to other v8s. Again, these seem very large for the size of the engine.

The entire intake is restricted by the internal horns that extend into the surge tank. Unless you can make these bigger anything else is a waste of time.
