Polygraphite bushings?

Has anyone had any experiences with these? I want to replace most of my bushings and since ive heard bad things about tpr i was looking at other options. These are suposed to be harder than tpr. It doesnt look like they have much taurus specific stuff besides rear swaybar bushings but are there any generic ones that can fit? I do want a performance upgrade. Heres a link to one such site:

I used to have their sway bar bushings on my 94 atx. I don't think I had any issues with them but the rest of the car was polyuerthane and squeaked like an army of mice. If the polygraphites made any noise, I wouldn't have heard it.

Look for Energy suspension instead. Polyurethane FTW.

Why? The polyurethane compresses, deforms and squeaks badly. IIRC, they polygraphite is polyurethane with graphite impregnated in the mixture so it won't deform or squeak as much. IMO, it's better than standard polyurethane.

I have polyurethane swaybar bushings on my rear swaybar. Every time I go over a bump, it squeaks like the dickens. It sounds like I have rusty leaf springs... I hate it so much!

I honestly wish I could find good 'ol fashioned rubber sway bar bushings with the way I go through TPR bushings due to them deforming.

I've ridden in enough cars with straight poly bushings that I'd never want them on my car. I might just have to give these a try...

I've rode in said car, and didn't hear anything squeaking. The only thing I heard was the tires. And we when over some big ass bumps too.

So whats the verdict on this anyway? No one wants to retort? Maybe they just haven't shrunk enough yet? maybe the front end being 1 3/4" lower keeps the strut rods at more of a straight line, therefore less lateral stress on those bushings?

I been listening for a weeks now to see if I hear a squeak, and still nadda... Maybe some of you guys need to learn how to tighten a nut... lol

Stay tuned; they will squeak after a while; mine didn't for about 2 years after the initial install, and then it started; had to reomove and **** them up; no squeaks now and not too bad a job to do it.

lol not too bad of a job huh.. even the inner ones? Did you do it without removing the rod's themselves? And what kind of **** did you use?

I had some **** leftover that came with the set of poly bushings for another car I have and used that so not sure what it is; I just have poly on the rear sway bars, and have rubber on the front mounts, as it rides smoother with a little give up front; rears are easy but front is another story of course on the SHO.

I thought u were talkin about the strut rod bushings.. I know my rear swaybar bushings are a little tighter, because I have the 23mm bar, and no one sells a 23mm bushing, so I bought a 19, and modified it, purposly(SP!!) made it around a 22mm so it would bite it a bit better.

TPR Bushings?

I guess I don't understand why there is a wear problem with MOOG TPR bushings. Why do they go bad? What causes this and is there a cure? Can they be tightened?

It seems odd that MOOG would sell a product that is only good for a year or two.

When I installed them, I remember they were not cheap.

I dont see what is wrong with TPR bushings, I have been running them for a while now and I love them.

It makes bumps and road inperfections very promenient but that is what I wanted out of my suspension.

Can anyone tell all of us WHY TPR is bad?
