Heres the rundown on the motor. I didnt keep great track of the mileage, so everything is as best I can remember.
3.2l bought at 109k in '08
Swapped heads at around 120k
new head gaskets
Heads were professionally cleaned
ported and polished
gasket matched
new valve stem seals
3.0 cams
almost new looking cam chain tensioners
Cam and Crank sensors were done maybe 1500 miles ago. Did them before I left for the convention.
rear main seal was done by area91 at 110k
I would do all the cam seals and the front main seal, they werent done long ago but If im swapping a motor I want that stuff done out of the car. The motor wont come with an oil pan, its going with the turbo kit.
I never did the water pump, and doesnt leak but should probably be replaced
The motor was run mostly on 7psi but an occasional 13psi. It always had very conservative timing and fuel because I dont trust my tuning. My boost gauge was a vac gauge as well and always pulled 20in vac at idle, even the night before I took everything apart. This is probably due to shimming the valves at the tight spec. The thermostat housing leaks because the lower stud broke so we had to drill it out and tap it. Easy fix with the engine on a stand.
Im headed over to take some pics of it now. It doesnt come with motor mounts anymore. Someone is buying them.
