i have heard a lot about only certian plug wires should be used. the motorcrafts seem a little steep. can anyone give me any info on what plug iwres should/shouldnt be used? are any available form autozone that are suitable?

Bottom line is most any brand plug wire specifically made for the SHO will "work", but with the Motorcraft wires you are most likely to get the full service life (~120K miles) and best sealing to prevent contaminants from getting in the plug wells.
Other brand wires may not last as long, or may allow moisture and other contaminants to get in the wells causing premature plug and/or wire failure. Ultimately you need to decide if it's worth spending $40-$80 on a set of cheaper aftermarket wires three times when only one set of $100 Motorcraft wires might have done the job. For aftermarket wires, the AC Delco will be the best bang for your buck. The Taylors are great too, but they're close to $80. When you can get motorcrafts for $99 that will last you 100k, the $80 with possibly a shorter life is not a great deal.
Taylor wires do have an excellent reputation for quality, and give you a choice of red or blue, if the under-hood aesthetics interest you.

well i was looking at autozone and they offer sho plugs with a lifetime warrenty. i dont mind changing plugwires every so often if 40-50 bucks means i never have to pay for them again.i just didnt know if there was some problem i wasnt aware of with them.

dosnt give a brand. i imagine they are accel, thats how the accel plugs showed up for my camaro. they just say double silicone are 49.99 stocked in my local store and have a lifetime warrenty.

DO NOT GET THOSE WIRES. They are the house brand and are absolute junk. Just pony up the extra cash and get the correct wires for your car.

I second that. I once tried the cheaper "house brand," replaced them under the lifetime warranty after only a few thousand miles due to current leaks and spark misfires, then received a refund and replaced them with Motorcraft wires after another few thousand miles and the same results. Cheap is as cheap does.

why are they junk please explain.they odnt seal right?they have too much resistance?they wear out to quick?i just want to know. not that im doubting you. i jsut like to have facts to back it up. has anyone used these wires?

Ive been using ALL motorcraft parts for my repairs.
I recently CHEESED OUT and went to NAPA for spark plug WIRES. I got EVERYTHING else directly from ford.
NOW when I try to pull a spark plug wire out, the square rubber part slides up and down the spark plug wire itself and the long plastic part Stays on the spark plug.
Now I cant check my plug wells for fear of ruining one and having to WAIT for the dealer to get them in so I can drive my SHO.
Other than that they work, look, smell, feel, etc. like stock wires.

I also agree with " Just use Motorcraft or AC Delco. " I just bought a 93 with over 165k on it. Had O.E. Wires on it. Never had they been changed. Now granted they were old and nasty... But to me, if they lasted that long and worked that well... I replaced them with Motorcraft. Why change what works best for the car. Spend the few extra dollars, and rest assured that you have a good repair done.

The Double Silicone wires at AutoZone are made by Carol Wire Company and are pretty good quality. Motorcraft and AC Delco wires are sub contracted so they might come from the same company as a lot of the other aftermarket wire sets. We live in a rebox world where many products are exactly the same just repackaged for different companies. That said I agree that all the cars running around with over 100,000 on OEM wires are a great testimonial to buying them again. Oh yeah I used the AZ wires on my 93 MTX and they worked perfectly in every way.
