Anyone know whether there are any aftermarked plug well seals & valve cover gasket packages?

I just talked to a dealer who wanted $25 for each seal alone! I've done seals & cover gaskets before, and they've always come as a kit (6 seals, 2 gaskets).

Please help! My 120K maintenance is turning into a $1000 project, and I'm not even having a shop do it.

Look on my site in the 60K parts section, there is a set available... from Rockauto or Autozone I forget.

You may have to look them up for a 1991 (or other early year) SHO. The Fel-Pro VS50378R set for $71.99 includes not only the six plug well seals. but also the two valve covers seals. Not cheap, but it must sound like a deal after hearing the dealership pricing structure. On a similar note, I saw on a service invoice where one dealership had charged an owner $170 for a timing belt which can usually be had for around $35. Quite a mark-up.

Thanks to everyone for responding so quick. . .I have the kit ordered already.

And with all the $$$ I saved, I'll be able to afford my bar tab caused by working on this beast of a car. . .it was definitely meant to be driven, not taken apart.

There's gotta be cheaper stuff!

yeah, you can re-use the old valve cover seals and plug well seals if they are not dried up or cracked. Just run a nice bead of form-a-gasket around both sides. I can use my $72.00 on other maintanence! ****
