please help...suspension question

If when I get intrax springs is there any other piece I should replace so that the tires wont wear unevenly from it being lowered? The tops of my front tires are angled in right now, what could this be from?

I am not a suspension expert (they will answer later) but here is my thoughts. If you are replacing the springs, replace the following at the same time. Struts, strut mounts, and put poly or tpr bushings where you can get to.

Yes, they do sell camber correction kits. I think I saw it at SHOnut . Anyway these will correct the camber(the angle you are describing) on your wheels.

another option would be to find an alignment shop that would be willing to drill the spot-welds on the strut tower and adjust the camber that way. I did it to my SHO, and it get's the same results.

Unless the Intrax kit drops the car more than 1.5 inches, don't worry about camber affecting your tire wear. The biggest culprit of bad tire wear is inaccurate tire pressure or bad tie rods and ball joints.

I've had Eibachs for over 7 years and none of my tires wore unevenly. I don't know of any who had issues with mildly lowered cars. If you get coilovers, that may be another story.

Then you should be fine. It shouldn't give you tire wear issues at all.

I have intraxs in my SHO and yes I needed a camber kit. Not unless you have plenty of money to replace tires then I would go out and get it put in the car.

For the fronts you just need to free up the camber plates on the front by drilling out the spot welds, try not to drill the spotwelds all the way through, only enough to free the plates without weakening the tower itself. This will provide plenty of play to align the car correctly and also allow you to max out caster.

For the rear, you need a kit such as the one OTC sells. Remember to run a hair of toe in in the rear (a tad over 1/16 total in) and shoot for -0.25 camber both sides.

Well bigjomsho you pay attention to the smallest things. But to be honest yes I changed to intrax to get the car lower. The camber can cost up to $200 This is for a good kit that allows you to adjust the top plates. Stay away from the one they offer at PEP BOYS I heard that it is not the proper one.

To behonest with you I needed one After you put the srings try to get the car aligned if they can get it back within specs the n you are ok. If not like mine was then you have to get the camber kit.
