please help me solve this electrical prob.

just did fuel pump , rod bearings , water pump , cps , timming belt & front main seal . the car works , works good . But ...............

when the ignition's on or cars running my instument cluster is not workin well .

1. thermometer is reading so high , its off the scale
2. both signal lights are on ( not flashing )
3. hvac controls are all lit up & makes no sence
4. push on brake & car beeps ...........it has never - ever beeped scince i have had it



any one got any ideas ? i am going to go back @ er . i can't think of any connection i may have missed

please help

Sounds like you might have a poor grounding problem or one of corrosion. What did you disconnect when you did all this work.

thats right tom
I checked it over , ad sure enough i had a bad ground ( dis-connected actually ) to this box of wires on the drivers side by the strut tower . I wish i knew what the name of that big mess of wires was

and by the way the SHO came home with me tonight ......after 2 long months . Doing the body and lower 60 k

the mechanical only took me a day or 2 . But the body work . A good body man would have had thi s job done in a week. For my lack of body experince , i payed with time , using crap products and a whole $hit load of blocking

Its 90% completed. And done right . A few odds and ends and i'm ready for paint . But the sho runs good know .
