Plastic on bottom side of doors

Was in a bit of a accident and now it like came off in the front and im not sure how to put it back on.. i don't wanna force anything but im sure there's gotta be a way if anyone know's please share thank you -Matt

hey

your talking about the claddings,and if you open your doors you will see black nuts that hold them together but you might have to go to a junkyard to get new clips also.being that they are broke from the accident im assuming.just remember that a lx model has the same mouldings,clips and all so you can grab clips from those:thumb:

None of the clip's are broken tho it just came off it's "Track" and yeah i wanna out it back on and i noticed that it's not screw's that take's it off its some other kind'a thing i don't know how to take them off or put em back on..

The lower side trim panels "hang" on the black upper moulding clips and are secured along the bottom by five acorn nuts you will find along the bottom inside of the front doors, and a single sheetmetal screw about 6-8" above the aft acorn nut - on the trailing end of the door.

What is still "stuck" in the door, and does there appear to be any damage to the backside of the trim panel itself?

What im trying to figure out is how to take those "acorn nuts" off and replace them.. i wanna put the plastic back on to it's track but i need to take it off first.. How would i remove and replace them?

The acorn nuts are simply nuts with the exposed end closed. Soak them with PB Blaster the day before and then take the acorn nuts off with a socket/wrench like any other nut.
