I'm thinking about putting a true dual system on the SHO. I'm going to take it to an exhaust shop and have them cut the pipes before the cats, and run 2 pipes straight back into 1-chamber flows then either turndowns or straight out pipes. What size pipes should I run and does anybody have anything similar?

If it were that easy wouldn't people be doing this? Doing it that way without a x-over pipe or equal lengths might not gain that much power, but I'm not really sure about that. I've been under mine for a week, I'm not sure how you would gain anything by doing this...

The main problem with that is space, or a place to run both sets of pipe. A few people around here, and one turbo SHO runs a single pipe and does just fine. I don't think this will yield you much.

There is a good write up on exhaust system design on the SHOTIMES website. You will get much more benefit from a performance y-pipe than a true dual exhaust.
