PhatSHO Update...

Well Guys and Gals here's the latest on the status of PhatSHO....Tried to drive to Denver last weekend and only made it halfway to Payson when I was trying to down shift out of 5th to go up a hill when it wouldn't come out of 5th. Pulled off the road and shut the car down, no lights inside and no smoke outside, so I started the car again and it started fine but when I put it in gear and then tried to let the clutch out it died. So I called for a tow back to PHX and over to Goodyear tire to get it looked at since dad is a retired Goodyear mgr. Initiall indications said clutch but after they look at moving the car from one of the bays and the wheels locked up it turns out we are working with a tranny problem. The service manager is happy because he thinks the warranty company is going to have to pay for it....well more info will follow and I'm looking to come out on the 20th to Dooley ville but no PhatSHO in tow....so far but we will see....more to follow.

I wonder if you ejected the differential pin? Sounds like the best thing to do is to have it pulled and open it up. Keep us updated.


Also, I never heard from you the next day... Was hoping to meet you. Maybe in Dooleyville.

Jason, sorry I didn't get back with you but I had to return to Phoenix or I would have gotten stuck in Salt Lake due to a snow storm. I got back to SLC and couldn't get out and ended up being able to get on a flight back to Denver and then to DFW then to Phoenix.....Can you email me with you phone number again here or you can use [email protected]
Tom thanks for the offer, I'm not sure what is going to happen but I at least have to wait and see what the warranty company says so I know what my options will be. I'm planning to come out to dooleyville on the 20th hopefully with my car but if not with at least a notebook, camera and a pen for some serious notes and picture taking.
I hope to hear more from GoodYear today so we shall see....I'll keep you posted. Say hi to all for me....Virg
