I've owned my 2013 PP for 3 years and did not know this!

:sad face:

Don't feel too bad, when I bought my car I had to explain to the Ford Dealership salesman what a Performance Package SHO was and what to look for, Good thing he didn't know the car would have cost me more. LOL The guy drove a Jeep, so I should have seen it coming.

Yes, but I'm a tech guy (programmer) and I'm pretty good at figuring things out and I just have the time to sit and read anything that a car manual. I refer to it when I can't figure something out...well, actually, I Google it first, because I'm faster with searching and I really hate paper.

I had the car over a year before I realized that it had butt massagers! Another few months before I realized it also had back massagers!! Like getting a new car every few months.

Well there is a very slim chance on evidently figuring out global open and how to program a fob to your memory seat position.

The reason I ask is May used cars I have looked at never have an owners manual. I always wondered where they go.

This is an interesting topic, the only things I really don't like about this car the paddle shifters, it will never have a really good exhaust note, and I can't smoke the tires if I want. I don't have winter tires so maybe I have too much grip, but no matter what I turn off I get no spin. I guess there cold be something wrong with the program since it will go into six gear in "Sport Mode" but I am not sure how I get that fixed. I imagine the conversation going something like this.

Me - The car goes into six gear in sport mode
Service Department - Its supposed to go into six gear
Me - Not in sport mode
Service Department - What is sport mode
Me - Good Grief

So I get the whole sport mode at the track I guess if you come out of a corner hard it will give you a little spin and make you feel like you are doing the driving, but that seems more like a fun issue and less an increase in performance, It does seem a little more resposive in "Sport Mode" but that could just be my imagination.

There should be very little wheel spin unless your and system is faulted or you have a heavy tune i would suspect?

I believe my 16 will go into 6th and lock the converter if I forget it's in sport mode while using the cruise. I may be mistaken.

The typical time I can get some spin is when there is loose sand on the road or when on a paint line from a stop/launch.

I bought mine brand new FYI, and yes, I figured out the seat position memory using the fob without the manual. I'm not sure what you mean by "global open". Do you mean rolling down the windows and opening the sunroof with the fob? I knew how to do that because all my Nissan's (5 of them before the SHO) had the same feature.

Yep that's exactly correct and what i was speaking of.

I just found out myself that you can down load our owner's manual from the syncmyride.com website. didn't know this. I usually go to PTS.

LOL Yes I know there is no wheel spin sometimes I like to show off, its a very fast car but I cant roast the tires, that keeps me out of trouble but the show off in me is disappointed, to be honest an front wheel spin is annoying anyway. I have no idea why it goes into 6th gear, I do remember at least once or twice when it stayed in 5th, too be honest I am not even sure what that means or why they lock out 6th gear. Hope everything is working correctly.

TSC can make a difference in speed of the car off the line for a pp car. If you have TSC enabled and mash the throttle from a stop-sign, the car will spin tires a little then the TSC will kick in and depower the car to maintain traction and not spin the tires. With TSC full off the car will spin tires until they "get a grip" and hook up. The car stays at full power/rev until the car hooks which then pulls the engine rpm down, but it is still trying to pull at full power. This second situation will normally be faster.

With a stock vehicle it may be hard to tell the difference, but this becomes very pronounced once you have a tune on the car.

I used my butt massagers on the way home from the dealer ship.

- Well now that makes since to me, yet another reason for a tune, I still wish I could get some tire smoke,

I am not saying that they just sit there and spin away for long smoking the tires burn outs. The AWD is active and pushes power around to get best traction, so the spinning is short lived. Often little wheel hop in 1st gear, hook, shift to 2nd. But the engine staying at full rev means there is no loss in power output, just traction. If you are on a prepped track or really good tires you may not spin them. Having TSC off just means if they do, your car will not cut power.
