Im almost done with my PCV mod...and I just have a quick question regarding plumbing. Below is a shot of my catch can, the connector with the hose on it gets attached to the PCV outlet between the heads, and on the other side of the catch can is a breather outlet. Should I plumb this to connect back up to the throttle body, or can I cap off the TB port and just put a breather filter on the catch can outlet?

A filter will work fine, but one word of warning:
If you simply use a breather filter, and the catch can is in the engine compartment, exhaust fumes could permeate in the engine compartment while the car is standing still. You will then begin to smell them inside the car if you are using the climate control system.

im most likely going to mount it in the wheel well...probably right in front of the splash guard on the drivers side (near the vapor canister). at idle, i SHOULDNT have a problem...plus the cooling fans ought to blow air around a bit. worst is i just run a line back to the TB.

The proper place for the catch car is inline on the hose coming from the oil separator between the heads. This is the large hose. One hose to the catch can the other to the TB base. The small hose coming off the TB and going to the valve cover is the hose that supplies the fresh air and the direction, except at WOT, is from the TB to the valve cover.

If you are going to NOT connect this back to the bottom of the TB (large hose) there is no need for a catch can as it is just being dumped into the air.

If you are not going to reconnect it to the bottom of the TB then there is no suction drawing the fumes out of the crankcase. This IMHO is a bad thing. My future plans are to add an electric AIR pump to the oil separator line and dump it to the back of the car with a long hose. This bypasses the intake all together and no need for a catch can while still providing a positive flow.
