Parking brake pedal won't stay down/catch ???

On my 90 sho, you can depress the parking brake pedal but it will not stay put...it just pops back up(the catch thingy worn out??). How hard is it to replace the unit?? anything I should look for?? or tips to make easier?? Your help would really be appriciated. Thanks in advance, Tomuza

I have that problem if the release handle cable doesn't go back all the way. If you push the cable back in, the brake should engage normally.

Ya know, I haven't even check that ... well I'll give her a look tomorrow when I pick her up from the shop... they say it's done, just have to test it and they need a battery; mines toast frown
