We just replaced the rear pads and rotors. We had to take the calipers off, so obviously we disconnected the brake lines and ebrake cables from it. Once reassembled, the e brake is not engaging anymore. The ebrake cable is firmly in the arm of the caliper where it should be, and when the ebrake is engaged the calipers move in, but it does not do anything at all... wtf?

Using expletive abbreviations in your topic title won't draw any help. Please refrain from doing this in the future. The best way to draw attention is to put a short accurate description of the problem at hand.

There's an adjustment for the e-brake cable, its in front of the rear left wheel. Try adjusting that, it might fix your problem.

"obviously we disconnected the brake lines"...perhaps you have air in the system. Do {or have done} a "proper" bleeding of the system. {Having two minds, equal in understanding of what needs to be done and how to go about it helps a great deal in bleeding} Also beware of the "tightening" you did, may have to undo it.

Well, from the original text that states the brake lines were disconected {also having knowledge that the pad to disc CLEARANCE is maintained by hydralic fluid and assuming that the ebrake accuator is designed to work with THAT clearance}...best guess.
