I have a red 95 sho, and I think its time to fix up those scratches. The previous owner tried to touch up some area, but its very obvious that the paint doesnt match. I was just wondering what you suggest on what kind of paint to use and the best way to apply for the best results? Any info would be great...

Your owners manual should tell you what specific color paint you have on your red SHO, or someone here would be able to tell you specifically. Then you can go to a local auto parts store or Wal-Mart and get automotive touch-up paint that matches your color of the car. Make sure you get primer as well.. When you apply it to the car, apply a thin coat of primer and make sure you let it dry. Then take a fine piece of sandpaper and sand off the excess primer (very fine grit) to smooth it out, but make sure you don't scratch the surrounding paint. Then do the same with the red colored paint. You can even apply clear coat for a bigger scratch so its shiny with the rest of the car

Go to an automotive paint store and have them colormatch some paint right next to the scratch. You should be able to get a pint or less (I can get 1/2 a pint at the store I go to) for very little. Make sure to get a one coat system paint that does not need a clear coat. The paint store should also sell small touchup brushes. The likelyhood of buying a premixed touchup paint that will match your 9 year old paint is slim.

When I had my my green 93, Ford still had touch up paint for it in stock. There should be a paint code inside the driver front door. Just give that code to them. This was three years ago so I'm not sure if they'll still have it but it would be worth a try IMO.
