Someone posted in another thread, all of the pigments that come from Japan, are not being imported now. I believe there is 5 colors that can't be ordered. The disaster in Japan really is affecting the whole world.

That might help explain why my Red Candy SHO took 3 months (and counting)

Xyrallic is the problem child -- so Ford better get a replacement PDQ.
People don't like to wait too long for their cars.

Just one long....:)

Thanks for posting SterlingGraySho -- that helps me understand what's going on.

Does that mean your car is delayed?

I took it that because of colour problems with red and black that those could be delayed deliveries --- but from March 11th on -- Mine was built on March 11 apparently so the colour issue wouldn't have been the delay factor.

Having thought about the timeline, I would say that if there was any delay with my car it would be for a different reason such as transportation thru trucking and rail.

Taurus Builder also told us another issue some time back with headliners and some other parts that caused the cars to have to sit in the yards waiting for parts so that they may be finished then shipped.

I got no such indication from my dealer so I'm assuming he hadn't got a complete explanation either from Chicago.

He was told Monday (21st) that yes the car was "sitting in the yard at Chicago". which is the day it was to arrive at my dealer in Oakville Ontario.

I feel that I've been very patient so far -- somewhat for convenience (crap weather) and some because I have no choice.

But DAYUM, there is a limit! I would like to get the dang car before it's a year old.......:shrug:

That's a bit hyperbolic, but you get the idea....It won't be too long b4 the '12's are available....:)

So yeah, RedCandySho, it's kind of been delayed for quite some time really.
When I ordered the car the dealer was thinking the 3rd week in Feb. since they said usually 6-8weeks......

As Mark says, the mods are piling up and I need to rectify for peace in the house.:)

I've got a gut feeling that she'll be here end of next week.
Wish me luck.

You can tell that writing is therapeutic for me can't you. Mark will tell you that my talking it out is too.......Thanks for listening Mark.....You're a good man.. and a good friend...:hail:
