I've had my P/S pump and rack replaced within the last 5 months. I still have major P/S fluid leakage. I'm now being told that it is my pressure hose. This is scheduled to cost me a total of $240 to R/R. How can I do a quite self check to know that this is wher my leakage is coming from. The P/S pump was even removed two weeks after being put on and the mechanic said he checked it to be working just fine and put it back on. I have to refill my fluid resevoir every s and a half days. I rubbed my hand along the pressure hose and there was fluid around the the hose. Pain in the..........

I idenitified a leak in the pressure hose by wrapping paper towels around the hose and running the engine for a short time. The hose was about $25 at a local auto supply (O'Reilly) and was not much fun to install, but $240 is a bit out of line.

O.k. I'll continue with trying to identify the leak in the P/S pressure hose. They say the labor time for this R/R is about 3 hrs. I mean, is every repair on the Sho about 3 hours. This is where all the money is...........going into those 3 hours....it doesn't pay to be mechanically ignorant, but just reading the dialogues in these forums has been great.
I mean, I may not be a fanatic Sho owner, I love the heck out of my car, but I do to love pulling up next to fast cars and dusting them and watching them in my rear view slow down before they can even make a dent in the gap I've put between us....that's what having a Sho is all about.

Out,

I mean, are there any other places on the coolant system, besides the hoses that may be known to leak coolant on the Sho. And what part of the coolant system will have something located above the cats on the passengers side that would leak directly on the cat.

Off days are hard to come by...........
