Driving home from a buddy's house today and all of the sudden the O/D Off light starts flashing at me when O/D is actually engaged. i know my ATX has a tranny leak, and sometimes it likes to hesitate a little, not to mention with the motor mounts being weak it sometimes shifts into second a lil hard. But does anyone know why its flashing? I checked the fluid and it reads out a little below full. Maybe its telling me its low???

Check the codes and let us know what they are.

Its flashing because it has a problem. Just like when your check engine light comes on to tell you the something with the motor isnt within spec, the tranny is telling you the same thing. you will need to pull the codes to find out more...

Well I checked it out and figured out the leak was coming from a tranny cooler line that had backed out a little bit, so I just secured it and that took care of it. O/D light is still flashing at me, but its shifting smoothly. Oh, annnnnnd the check engine light is on for some reason as well. Sooo, I'm about to go get the codes pulled at Autozone here in a few and then post my findings.

Ok so i took the car the Autozone, and these ************* said that they couldn't pull the codes because they only have OBD II, and apparently the SHO takes OBD I. Any ideas on where I could take it? I know dealerships cost money and if I had it I would just take it to one of the Ford dealers here.
