Outside Door Handles Not Working...

I used the search function and couldn't find anything about this, might have put in the wrong search but here it goes...

I have an 89 sho and the drivers door handle will NOT open. I can open it from the inside handle and it works fine. One day i was just driving along and decide to roll down my window.. and then i hear this snap and scratching on my window as i rolled it down. Ever sense now i can't open it from the outside and it still has that scratch. Also now my keyless entry won't work for any of the doors, but the alarm still works fine.

I haven't taken the panel off yet. Any clue as to what could be the problem?

If you remove the panel, you will find a 'bar' that hooks to the 'gizmo' that holds the door shut. It has just come off. This bar is just hanging there and is the culprit for scatching your window. It is a fairly simple fix.

I dont know if this is the same reason your keyless entry will not work.
