Over the past week or so I have been collecting some new replacement and performance parts for the SHO. Getting kind of excited to get them in. I'm going to be going through the entire suspension and am going to do a short but detailed how-to on each replaced and upgraded item as well. Here is a list of what I am going to be working on:

*KYB G2 front and rear struts
*outer tie rod ends
*lower ball joints
*strut mounts front and rear
*all new bushings front and rear
*front and rear sway bar links
*front and rear sway bar bushings
*driver and passanger headlight assy's
*McCulloch 8000K single beam HID kit w/ wiring harness
*SHo Bro's rear GM control arm kit
*Custom cold air (using 80mm MAF adapter from Kurts Kustoms)
*fog lights behind grille (behind bumper cover, removing Ford emblum)
*B&M aux. tranny cooler
*Mach 1 Mustang lower chin spoiler (like on Sal's car)
*FPS tuned X Cal2
*Toyota Supra euro hood scoop
*front and rear brake pads and rotors.

I had looked for the longest time for something that wold break up the hood and the Supra scoop I think will look sharp.

the one that pops into my head first (probably cause im doing the same thing) is a NACA duct. but ****, there's so many..

Also, isnt the 8K headlight kit gonna be too blue??? that way past white.... on the spectrum.

Yes the 8000k dose have a bit more blue to it but that was what I was looking for.

might look pretty good... have to wait and see... how is it mounted? 3M double tape?

Eh, cant complain about the blue.... but i look for functionality over looks.. but thats IMO, and this is your car. :thumb: either way :thumb: :thumb: for doing something different. Cant wait to see the finished product. Good luck!

Thanks!

The hood scoop is actually functional. Got all of the parts from toyota. Unfortunatly it dose require punching a hole in the hood and some fab work but it should not be to bad a project.

8000K? Holy crap that's practically UV!

Not really, but it's still really blue. What's your reasoning for using other than 5500K?

Well. I had seen this set up on a friends car (identical as a matter of fact) and liked the color and visibility. Now after getting it on my car I don't like it. Must be the car differences or something.

Oops.......well, nothing like a $147.00 mistake (replacement bulb cost). Ordered the 5000K for replacement.

Got some parts on today. I was not sure if I would like the look of the Mach 1 spoiler but it looks sharp now that I have it on. Here's a pic of the front with the spoiler and the fog lights behind the grille. Sorry for the low light, its too cloudy here today for good pics.

Kind of looks like a damn cow pusher off an old steam engine from that angle  but it only sits 1/2 an inch lower than the stock lower air dam.

Interesting looking lights. Wonder where you got that idea? Did you drill through the bumper or into the fiberglass radiator girdle? As for the spoiler, is it fiberglass or some sort of very flexible plastic? I would be concerned about the snow issue since I see that Minnesota on the front.

:) I did get the light idea from your car. When I removed the front bumper cover to install the transmition cooler and HID balasts I also mounted the lights. They are bolted to the steel bumper reinforcement just below the inner lip of the bumper cover. It was a very nice fit. The transmition cooler was mounted on the fiberglass core support (no vertical steel members to attach it to) inbetween the core support and the condensor. I have some pics of them mounted, I can post them later for a better visual reference. The spoiler is a flexible black plastic. I ran the yard edging spoiler all last winter and did not have any issues and this one sits quite a bit higher than the old spoiler did. I don't think it will be any problem at all for winter driving.

How much can you guys get the chin spoiler for down there?
Oops, sorry. I forgot to answer that for you. I was going to get it off of ebay but had problems with the ordering process on e-bay (computer problem on my end). I went down to my local ford garage rembering that the city I work for has an account there. Picled it up for $71 after tax with discount. No complaints there.

By the way, that wagon looks very nice:thumb:
