After buying sets of aftermarket seats what I learned was that the only opinion that mattered was of the owner that will be sitting in them. If you are only after a "look" then by all means ask around.

I have experience with Recaro and Sparco but those Corb's you are considering look very nice. If "microsuede" is anything like alcantara you are in for a real treat.

cheers

I'll pick up the seats today. I liked the LG1, however, I'm not sure how it will be on a longer road trip or how passengers (mainly the g/f) will like it. Not that I'm catering to anyone, I was looking for a dual-role seat. Something comfortable on the street, yet aggressive enough to be held in when pushing it.

I agree, only the purchaser/owner's opinion really matters. If this car were more of a track car than a street car, I would have definitely purchased the LG1 in microsuede. I've sat in my dad's CR1 seats in black cloth and they felt good, however, he has the 'wide' version, so they didn't hold me in as well as I would have liked. I bought the regular version and I absolutely LOVE the microsuede. It made the cloth seats look cheap. I'm not really in it for 'the look', but something that looks nice is a plus! (IE: not APC seats with 20 different colors)

Have you gotten a chance to put the seats in?

No, they won't go in for a while. The car still needs a motor put in it, so I'm not too worried about getting these things in right away. Hopefully in a month though.

I had to take the drivers seat back as it wasn't put together quite right in the bolster. I still have the passenger seat. The seats fit me perfect and the microsuede is awesome. I love these seats.

The Monte Carlo above is no longer a slow car. The last dyno was 500whp/500wtq. Boost is in its very near future.
