Recently bought a 92 red mtx that I couldn't turn down... the old mini van is acting up from time to time and the wife and I didn't want a payment, so I started looking for a spare ride. Found this one with 107K, new tires, good body/interior, new stereo and brakes... guy said it needed a clutch. Bought it for his son and he wanted a Honda (go figure). He was sick of dealing with it, didn't want to show it any more, and after I drove it (drove good) he told me if I had $400 it was mine. Needless to say, after showing a good title, I drove it away. I had a 91+ previous to this and loved it but it had 148K on it and I was scared of the 60K job that was pending, so I sold it. It had quite a bit of rust on it as well.

This new one is in much better condition. It didn't seem to pick up the revs real well, but it didn't act to me like it needed a clutch. After reading around, it sounds like a bad vacuum on the secondaries. Anyway, I have it tore apart in the garage right now doing a full 120K, and when it rolls out it'll be reborn as the "spidey mobile". I have two young sons who will get a kick out of it. Glad to be back, and I'll post some pics from time to time. Dave

Welcome back!

SHO's are an addiction we all suffer from. Our twelve step program will help you understand that this is OK and will help you realize that unfortunately there is no cure. It is a disease you must live with for the rest of your life. Your family will suffer because you will spend all of your free time and money working on your SHO. You will miss out on family vacations because you will be planning them according to the SHO Convention location and schedule and your family will not want to come. What little free time you will have otherwise will be spent online with us, the ones that understand you....
