Well I finally got my car back $2,100 later. Im not the best mecanic and i checked my oil and it smells like gas. How bad is this going to be? I also have an oil leak its leaking onto the front cat but all of the oil looks like it is coming from the rear valve cover. Around the power steering pump area it looks as thoe its soaked. Any help would be awesome. The car is 93 atx

worn piston ring/s or valve guides are most likely. could also be a messed up injector dumping too much fuel into a cylinder. Could also be a severely fouled plug not allowing for combustion of the fuel in the cylinder.

I know i also have a ticking noise when the car warms up and on the drivers side when im looking at the intake tubes in the middle. Toward the back one it has grime around the seal around the area of the fuel injector and the rest of the intake clean?

Pull the dipstick and step back from the car, and hold a match under the dipstick end that is wet. If it catches fire... you have gas in the oil.
If it doesn't..... you don't.

I wouldn't jump to any conclusions yet. Do you have any codes?

The ticking might be the spark jumping to anything metal (the plug is bad or there is too much oil around it). Long shot, but worth a look. Might explain the gas smell.

Change the oil , gaz in the oil is never good for the internal bearings. For the price I rather be safe then sorry.

It may be only caused by a big gas flood happened earlier?
