I am trying to figure out how big of a priority my rod-bearings are. I can hear noise on cold starts/after sitting which I think might be a knock before oil pressure builds. But it might just be valve-train related... I have a manual feed oil pressure guage. What do you all think of the numbers? 95 stock MTX, @109K, GTX 10-w30

Cold idle: 60+
OT idle: 12-14
2600 RPMs(OT): 29/30

Now from what I understand the hot idle pressure sound pretty good for a SHO. Does the higher rpms pressure sound ok? Does anybody think I need to make them a priority? Also, every great once in a while I'll get a flicker out of the pressure light (guage feed & sender are both hooked up) after spirited driving. tia.

Oil pressures sound fine, If you are hearing a noise I would check it out ASAP. Are you seeing this flicker when idling? Or when bogging when engaging the clutch?

The flicker comes at idle. But like I said it is only once in a while.

Well, I guess I am not really risking the engine because I can't really drive it right now. The starter is dead and my battery cables are corrided. So it is just sitting there until I can pay for the parts. I guess I will add another $70 on that and do it all at once. It just seems werid that I get a noise but have good pressure.
