As suggested by some forum members, I've got new rod bearings installed in my 1990 & I'm trying to button every thing up but I've run into a real snag. When I removed the pan it was difficult to get past the passenger rear motor mount but I figured it was just the angle I had with the pan & I'd worry about the reinstall later. Now I'm ready & I've tried a dry fit & it's still a probem. Is there a special angle to get this dang thing back in? I was even considering breaking loose the the link shaft bracket that bolts to the passenger side of the engine to get a little more clearance. The passenger side motor mount interfers on the front side but I don't want to mess with that. I just want to make sure I get a good seal & not have to worry about leaks. Thanks in advance.

It can be a bit of fun to get in sometimes. My advice would be to do a few dry runs without any sealant on to figure out exactly how you want to go about doing it. And when you go for it for the final time some people like to put the RTV on the block rather than the pan so that you don't mess any of it up.

I've tried the dry fitting & I think I've finally worked it out. Thanks for the tip about sealant on the block rather than the pan itself. I'll definitely go that route. Thanks Again.
