Has anyone noticed while changing their oil a slight dampness/leak coming from the drive belt side of the motor? I'm not 100% worried as of yet, but I'm in the process of getting some performance parts from Livernois and don't want any issues with my extended warranty to come about due to a tune and downpipes if the problem already exists.

I've taken photos on my phone to document the dates in case an issue arises. Should I have it addressed first before doing any mods to it or just keeping rockin' it and slap those parts on? The odometer is at 32,*** miles.

Thanks for the reply Unknown Driver. I guess I will go talk to the dealer now and try to befriend them since I have no connections out here like I did back home. I'm going to try to get a feel for them on modding the car too. My parts will be in next week and am looking forward to putting them on but want to get the leak issue resolved, or at least documented before the parts go on.

Car is going in the shop next Wednesday. If my assumptions are correct, I will be down a car for at least a week or so. I suspect the front main seal needs replacing. I'll know for sure next week though. Wish me luck. :nut:

Hope it turns out to be a simple fix, ****. Will the Lightning be your DD until you get the SHO back?

Best of luck with the repair's and/or diagnosis there ****.

Seems you are unique in this experience. Unfortunate to say the least.

Thanks guys. Appreciate the concern. As for the Lightning being my DD, it will not SHOdded. I sold it a couple weeks ago. Figures back home I had several vehicles to drive and now in Cali I'm down to only two. Luckily I have rental coverage so who knows what I'll be rocking while the SHO is away. :p

Wow, that was one nice truck! Hopefully you'll get something with a little more power than a bicycle ;)

Well, the crank seal needs replacing as does the timing cover gasket. Supposed to have it back by the weekend but I'm not banking on that. And no rental so I'm stuck with sharing the wife's Bimmer for a few days unless the SHO does end up staying gone longer than expected. Bummer!

Well, I hope it will not burn a hole in your pocket, at the very least, unlike prev gen SHOs ...

Car is back from the dealership and Livernois' parts are installed and all is well. They ended up not having to drop the motor for the job. I'm guessing they lowered it half way like a clutch replacement. Nothing had to be paid out of pocket either.

They even went ahead looked for the squeal which turned out to be at the PTU. They sprayed it with WD-40 and no more squeal. That reminds me, I need to call them about my tail lights. My advisor said he'd contact Ford and see if they can replace them, again. Glad to find a dealership willing to work with me and not against me.

My dealer used some dye to confirm my suspicions and then tested it after they drove it. Good luck and keep us posted on what they say. I have all my paperwork if you need any detailed info about my procedure.
