I have found oil in my plug holes and I know the rubber gaskets that seal the holes are bad. I went to Ford dealer to get new ones they want $27 a peice and $407 for the valve cover gasket set. This is absolutely rediculous has anybody had the same problem and if i I took the valve cover off and sealed the plug holes with silicone would it work? Thanks for any info.

Changing the valve cover gaskets and plug well seals is part of the 60/120k service interval. You can find out more about this procedure using the search feature. You can head over to Autozone to purchase the Felpro valve cover gasket and plug well seal kit for $71.99 (part number VS50378R). You can visit http://www.shophoenixproject.com/ for a how-to guide and order the 60k video from www.shonutperformance.com

Good luck!
