I think all the synthetics are about equal, but don't get too wide a range like 10-40 as extenders are used to widen the range and the extenders are not a good thing. I use 10-30 Mobil 1.
A very good idea is to get the Amsoil dual external filter set up, but use a better full flow filter than Amsoil. I use the largest K & N that will fit. I also used aircraft SS hose and fittings instead of rubber, for the same price. Set up adds a couple more quarts and is in the airflow, all good. Really keeps oil clean, allows fewer changes so cost is about equal.
I kinda have a hunch Amsoil gets their oil from Mobile.

You should be able to find a local Amsoil dealer,or in a city near you, or find Amsoil online. Might want to see if you can get the filter block without the rubber hoses/brass fittings and use SS with Aluminum fittings; about the same price, much better looking and I think just better. I did use transparent heat shrink tubing over the SS braid to make it easy to keep clean.
Am very pleased with the set up, keeps oil clean, helps cool it, increases capacity, dont have to change as often ( I change it every summer as I believe a 10,000 mile interval is fine, and do it when the weather is nice, I use K&N full flow which is better than Amsoil filters), much easier to get at the filters.

Easy to mount the filter block in front of the radiator, toward the driver's side, with the filters pointing down. You should see an area available. Part of the filters are in the air stream. Plenty of room. Then run the hoses.
