Oil Dipstick

My Oil dipstick handle broke off and can't find it to glue it back on, so i need a new dipstick for my 98 SHO, the car has an oil leak so i don't want to drive it without knowing how much oil is in it, obviously with one of these cars i can't find one, my question is if i call a junk yard and get a dipstick for a regular gen 3 SLO will it be the same? Because from what i understand the v8 and v6 are very similar and the v8 was built off the v6. Also if anyone parting out a v8 SHO and want to sell the dipstick PM me.

mine broke too but there is just enough for me to grab with a small pair of needle nose pliers. I would also post in the parts wanted section as there is probably more people looking there then here in the V8 section. Goodluck!

I can do the same with needle nose pliers, and I did post a thread thanks, it's an odd part to have an extra lying around if lol
