Just got my roundtuit and replaced the oil cooler gasket. Messy but not too hard. Here are my tips. Ramps, why didn't I buy these years ago! Lots of paper towels. 30 mm socket. I used a 1/2 inch drive with a 1 inch extension. Put car on ramps. Disconnect battery. May be best to remove pos cable. Remove power steering cooler from sub-frame and move out of way. Pad area well around starter with paper towels. Remove oil filter. Clean up mess. Crawl under car on back head first. With the PS cooler out of the way you have enough room to get the socket and drive on. Oil cooler nut is shallow! Be sure you have socket on square. Mine was fairly tight. Remove nut/shaft. Clean smaller mess. Pull cooler away from engine and starter. I left the oil lines attached and just twisted the cooler so I could see the back. Original rubber gasket is thin. Remove. Use old, or new, oil filter gasket. This gasket is much thicker. It will not sit very deep in the oil cooler. It will "snap" in the cooler 95%. At one point where there is a circular opening where the gasket will not catch an inner lip. As long as you can see the full circular opening your probably ok. Carefully replace cooler and tighten. I removed mine again to be sure the gasket stayed in place. It did. Re-tightened, replaced filter, replaced PS cooler, connected battery and ran engine. All looks good. IF YOU DO NOT DISCONNECT BATTER YOU WILL HIT THE STARTER WITH THE SOCKET AND "ZAP". :woohoo:
