87 in a 65, just outside of Kerrville. Gillespie County is where i was, actually 50 feet north of the Kerr County line on highway 16( as i sat there, i stared at the sign). speeding tickets are more expensive in Gillespie County than in Kerr County, mainly because Gillespie thrives on tourists and motor vehicle citations as revenue. ticket is gonna be 175. but i can take defensive driving online for 38 dollas, send all the stuff along with 60 for court costs and have it dismissed from my record. yeah yeah, sucks to be me, and in 4 months, my record was gonna be spotless :

Yep, it's hard to not speed in the SHO and why where you only going 87mph in the middle of nowhere? If it where me in my SHO, I would be well over 100mph. Also why didn't you make a run for it? :D When I see a cop a good distant back and coming quick and know I was speeding, I speed up and weave in and out of traffic and hit a exit where he can't see and bust a U and head back thumbs_u

i suppose i could have ran, but they came at me and me a quick u-turn. besides, why would i want any more charges than just speeding ? yes, it is hard to keep the SHO at the speed limit, and there were many times on my way down that i was well over 120. but in the middle of nowhere is where the deer like to roam. though the officer wrote traffic conditions as medium, i was the only car on the road within several miles. as of tomorrow, Gillespie County will recieve my 60 dolla money order for court costs and within a week, they will have a certified copy of my driving record, proof of insurance, and original certificate of completion of the defense driving course. after they recieve that info, my ticket will be dismissed and my insurance company will be notified that i have taken defensive driving (hopeful for lower rates). heh, Merry Christmas to ME !!

Good luck in getting the ticket dismissed, but if it where me I would've been gone with the needle over 140mph :D so I wouldn't have to go through what you are. thumbs_u

X-15,
I remember being young too, but in most cases you cannot run, it is very rare to be able to outrun the cops radio, and his buddies.Sooner or later, they will get you. Yes most of us play with the top speed of our sho's from time to time, well maybe not all of us,but most, and we know that if we get caught, that jail cell's bed is not comfortable, but, we take the risk, and if you run, you have to visit that jail A LOT longer than I have had to for exabition of speed, and reckless endangerment.(138 in a 65, 122-55,83-40), not proud of it, but I drive hard, just please be careful :D
Be smart, drive hard, have fun,
DRIVING IS A NONE CONTACT ACTIVITY thumbs_u

good christ, 138 in a 65, I don't believe I would have stopped for that one, I would have stayed in it and gotten off the road ASAP.
