so yeah...my 2.5" exhaust developed a leak in the form of a very large hole over the rear suspension. Odd thing is, I'm diggin the sound over the Flowmaster 40 series I got hanging under the rear bumper.
I've decided I'm not gonna put another chambered muffler on. I'm gonna redo the back half of the exhaust (from the gas tank rearward), new muffler and all. I'm thinkin real hard between a cheap ass fart cannon or a Dynomax Pro Flo welded series, but I'm as yet undecided.
to be clear...i don't mind loud. I'm running a stock Y-pipe witth gutted cats and 2.5" from there back into a single muffler. If it wasn't for the stink-eye I keep getting from cops, I'd probably just straight pipe it. Alas, I fear my neighbors would lynch me.
I wanna keep it loud, and I've given up on it sounding good, but I wanna get rid of the "chambered" muffler sound and go for something a little smoother sounding.
