Hey guys, in the recent weeks the SHO has developed a whistling type noise if the motor is revv'd and let come back down to normal idle on its own. Its coming from the passenger side of the motor in the area of the FPR/PS pump area.

The car isn't running any differently and is not throwing a code to make me suspect a vacuum leak at the intake. Gas mileage has SUCKED since it started though. Last time I checked it sounded dead nuts like the FPR, im going to try and throw a fuel pressure guage on it but for some reason I don't believe that im loosing pressure...

:nut: :nut: Don't know what to think, can anyone shine some light on this?

I bet the vacuum hose for the FPR is fubared.

Ok, is this a normal vac. hose or an I forced to head to the stealer?

One would assume that you can get normal vaccuum hose for this..

Ok, I ended up getting some tubing and replacing the FPR vac. line and it still does it, only not as loud.....

which makes me believe something is wrong with one end of that vac line or its something else..

could be a bearing in one of the idler pulleys....

I thought of that, but normally from what I have seen if its a bad pully/bearing then the pully would be out of round during engine operation.

Everything looks fine and doesn't seem to slip at all.
