odd sticker on tranny

was cleaning the under side of the motor in the atx today (93) and noticed an odd orange sticker on the tranny pan. it said something like " do not service - ax4s-sho (then some more numbers and stuff ) call ***-***-****" anyone else got that sticker? what does it mean? i don't understand why it says ax4s when i thought those weren't invented untill 95 ... the tranny pan it'self says "axod-SHO"

Every ATX SHO ever built had one. It's basically meaningless now due to the passage of time, but if you search the forum for "pan sticker" or something along those lines you'll find several threads about it.

Strange that you posted this at this time. I bought my 93atx new and remembered a couple of days ago that it had that sticker and was planning on going out tomorrow to write down the info and post the same question.

So.................bottom line I don't have an answer but obviously yours is not a fluke since I have the same sticker.

One other point about mine..............it was on the last production run of 93's built in the Hapeville, GA plant near the Atlanta airport.

I had that sticker on my 95, also my bro's 92 SLO, and my moms 98 SLO. I've always just disregarded it because the date on the sticker was always several years past.
