was driving late last nite when i was making a left turn i heard an awfull squeaking/creeking noise ..not squeeling or moaning ..so as soon as i heard this i pulled over and moved my steering wheel back and forth it sounded like someone jumping up and down on a bed or a a rusty old swing set the sound will not go away unlles i turn the corner at about 25 mph .. :oogle: ...any one ever had a probolem like this .. and how the heck do you fix it

The tie rod end is squeaking. You need to either grease it if it is greaseable. Or replace if it is a ford unit. It will need alignment then also. Hope this helps

If its making that much noise it shouldn't be hard to get a partner to help you figure this one out. One guy turn the wheel as the other one inspects the suspension components.

You can grease the original Ford tie rod ends by poking a hole in the rubber boot with a sharp object (nail) and injecting grease into the hole with a hypo needle or stringe. If the ball joint in the rod end does not have too much play from being unlubricated, you shoul dbe able to salvage the rod end with a fresh shot of grease. That saves buying a new rod end and having to have the toe-in reset.

ill check it out tomarrow thanks ...saving a few dollars by injecting some grease sounds like a good plan if thats the culprate
